The External Reporting & Valuation department within CFRO is looking for a specialist to be part of a team of currently seven professionals. The team can be described as informal, pro-active, hands-on and highly skilled. The department is responsible for formal reporting of mutual investment funds (FGRs), investment subsidiaries, and has also responsibility for supervising and controlling report execution. The department is additionally responsible for overseeing the preparation of regulatory reporting.
We maintain an extensive network of internal and external stakeholders in the Netherlands as well in New York and Hongkong. We take initiatives on multiple topics and participate in projects as a catalyst, focusing primarily on the consequences and solutions of new and changed activities from a reporting and/or valuation perspective.
As an External Reporting & Valuation specialist you will support the team in its responsibilities on formal reporting in combination with the coordination of the external audit:
For these reports we manage relationships and make process and planning agreements with supplying and receiving parties within APG, and with external stakeholders including clients and supervising authorities. You are able to clearly translate professional rules and frameworks into actual practice. As part of our effective risk management we perform reviews before formal reports are released to internal or external stakeholders.
We determine and manage the frameworks for reporting (including valuation), and ensure accurate and timely execution. We monitor the financial reporting process and advice on improvements. In this challenging position, we survey the entire Asset Management organization and understand what lies behind the figures.
We maintain, manage and supervise APG’s Valuation framework for all investments. This includes a challenging role throughout the valuation process, especially of alternative investments, and the periodic reporting of the supervision to APG’s Valuation Committee. You will also contribute to the assessment of the valuation and reporting aspects in investment proposals submitted by Portfolio Management.

You provide structured communication and have a constructive and practical attitude, which you combine with an analytical approach. You are flexible in terms of willingness to travel between our Amsterdam and Heerlen locations.
