The continuous changes in the world of pensions have attributed to the constant change within APG Asset Management. Consequently, such changes need to be organized and managed internally, therefore APG is setting up a whole new Transformation Office for our Asset Manager.
As Change Consultant, you will be part of this newly established team. The Transformation Office coordinates the change agenda and portfolio and decision-making to the board of directors. Together with the Team manager you will initiate, monitor and manage the synergy between the various strategic programs. You contribute to setting up and supporting the prioritization of the Transformation Dashboard promoting and facilitating best practice techniques that support agility in coordination with, among others, Business Control, Director’s Office, HR, Asset Management IT, and Communication. You will conduct stakeholder analysis and have a clear picture of the stakeholders’ wishes and demands for the change agenda and decision-making.
In addition to the project alignment side, you will also focus on the “soft” side of the change and organizational transformation. The Transformation Office drives such changes and is the showcase for the changes needed. You collaborate with your colleagues by using different methods and instruments with the goal of achieving the desired behavioral change in the organization. This could include, among other things: preparing and facilitating strategy execution group(s) and challenge group(s). You analyze internal and external developments in your own field of expertise and drive knowledge development by sharing. You reflect on the chosen approach and translate the improvement points into change interventions. You challenge your stakeholders on continuous improvement in the overall change capacities and process of the organization. You are co-responsible for the embedding and anchoring of the changes in processes and knowledge management.
The Change Consultant Transformation Office is part of the Asset Management Transformation Office and you co-operate with the Team manager and one other Change Consultant. You report directly to the Team manager Transformation Office. The team is based in Amsterdam (Zuid as). Occasional travel to our head office in Heerlen is an inherent part of the job.
You are accurate, result-orientated and a team player. You perform well under pressure. You have strong communication skills, and your competences include planning and organizing.
You also have:
- 2-5 years of work experience in change and/or project management;
- Professional and intellectual expertise obtained through University study with relevant professional experience in change and/or project management;
- Work experience as change consultant;
- Knowledge and experience in financial services or Asset Management is a must(!);
- Proven experience with stakeholder management and processes;
- Knowledge of and experience with agile principles and the ability to guide and challenge our leadership.
