Pension dynamics demand clear communication
Pensions are a regular news feature. Changes in legislation are coming at a rapid pace. Pension schemes are becoming more complex and regulators are imposing increasingly stricter requirements on pension funds. Members of pension funds are also critically looking on, want answers to their questions and want to be well informed about any changes to their pension scheme. Especially now that pension funds are themselves deciding how much risk they are willing to take with their pension capital.
At APG we not only implement the communication flows, we also provide advice concerning the approach. We strongly believe that providing information, answering questions and resolving any complaints all represent opportunities to increase the confidence members have in their pension fund. Of course each pension fund speaks with its own voice in this respect. APG’s communication professionals ensure that all funds are recognizable to their members, in terms of tone as well as style.
Online, offline and live
APG has a great deal of experience in pension communications and has many communication tools ranging from the Uniform Pension Statement (UPS) to personal digital files that members can use to calculate various scenarios. Other tools range from magazine to digital newsletter, from on-site information sessions to establishing expert client services and a virtual assistant on the pension fund’s website.
