Selection procedure for APG Traineeships in 2012

The APG Traineeships selection procedure involves a number of steps:

  1. Interested in a traineeship with APG? Be sure to apply before April 16th, 2012
    By applying online for a traineeship, you can give us a general idea of your background, personality and any relevant experience you may have acquired .

  2. Mark the date of APG's ‘Meet & Greet’ day in your calendar:
    May 7th, 2012: Asset Management Traineeship Amsterdam
    May 8th, 2012: Corporate Traineeship Amsterdam
    May 9th, 2012:  Corporate Traineeship Heerlen

    For each traineeship, we will be inviting 25 candidates for a ‘Meet & Greet’ day in Heerlen or Amsterdam. You will receive a separate invitation for this day no later than April 27th, 2012. The aim of this day is to give you an opportunity to learn more about APG, sample the atmosphere, and talk with the current trainees as well as our Human Resources professionals. It is also your chance to show us precisely why you are the right choice of trainee for APG. The ‘Meet & Greet’ will take place on one of the above dates, depending on which traineeship you have applied for.

  3. Aptitude and personality test and initial interview in weeks 21 to 23
    The best candidates from the ‘Meet & Greet’ day will be invited to take an aptitude test. This consists of several components, such as matrixes, number sequences and diagrams. You complete the test ‘online’ at home. You will be notified by phone whether you have achieved our standard score. If this is the case, we will invite you to complete a personality test. This too is an ‘online’ questionnaire that you complete at home, and that enables us to form a better picture of you as a person.
    The results of the tests will be fed back to you during the initial interview that will be held with one of our corporate recruiters during week 23. The outcome of this interview will determine whether you will be invited for the second round of interviews.

  4. 2nd round of interviews in week 24
    You will have a meeting with a mentor and trainee coordinator. The outcome will be notified to you within a few days. If it is positive, we will make you an immediate offer.

  5. Offers of terms of employment in week 25
    During the meeting to discuss the terms of employment we will go through all the details of our offer with you and complete all the necessary paperwork for you to join our organization.
