Trainee with APG

APG offers talented, young professionals an opportunity to gain experience within the organization as a trainee. The traineeship is a first step towards a career with APG. As a trainee, you work together with the team in the day-to-day business. You are introduced to various departments, allowing you acquire knowledge of the subject matter and processes. Together with fellow trainees, you will be working at the group level on a business case for the Executive Board. In addition, you will be participating in our talent development program, in which you gain up-to-date knowledge about the world of pensions and in which you are trained to hone your personal effectiveness.

The Traineeship recruitment process starts in 2012

The Corporate Traineeship lasts 24 months. In three periods of eight months each, you will be working for three different business units in our Heerlen or Amsterdam location. The work experience and knowledge that you acquire in our organization’s fundamental operations will form a broad foundation for the rest of your career. After successfully completing this traineeship, you can enter our business in a challenging position. This could be in the area of marketing, pension administration, insurance or ICT, for example.

Profile

• You are a university graduate who has just entered the job market with an excellent academic record and a maximum of two years of work and academic experience in the field of Business Economics.
• Outside your study, you have developed yourself on a broad front, for example through a position on a committee or board, or you have gained experience via traineeships, volunteer work or other relevant activities.
• You are prepared to invest a great deal of energy in yourself and in your career.
• You are a generalist with broad interests and you are able to quickly find a connection between various processes and complex problems.
• You easily adapt to new environments and enjoy establishing and maintaining new contacts.
