APG invests the pension assets of more than 4.5 million Dutch people. With our service we want to help as best we can to realize the ambitions and promote the interests of our clients, pension funds with total invested assets of around 284 billion euros (December 2011).

APG’s long-term perspective, our knowledge of pension asset management and the investment strategy are aimed at achieving a good return for our clients. The overriding objective of the pension asset management is to ensure that pension funds can meet their liabilities to participants now and in the future. The implementation of the investment strategy yields investment returns that contribute to this. APG achieves a stable, positive investment performance for its clients: specifically, an average annual return of around 7% over the past 20 years.

Continuity

Pension funds which commission APG to manage assets have full control of and final responsibility for their investment policy and their risk management. In APG, pension funds have a pension investor that provides sound advice and can guarantee continuity. APG also supports pension fund managements in accounting to participants and supervisors for the selected investment policy.
